IIf you’re looking for a park to stroll in or recreation parks in which to play organized sports, this is the region for you. The surrounding areas also offer outdoor activities for the more adventurous, ranging from hiking, camping, boating, fishing, swimming
and horseback riding.

MCKEY PARK
Located on North Patterson
Street and Burton Avenue, offers 22
acres with lighted tennis courts,
restrooms, sheltered and unsheltered
picnic area and a playground.

DREXEL PARK
Located on North Patterson Street and Brookwood Drive, offers 11.1 acres of unsheltered picnic area and playground. Located on River Street, offers 34.4 acres with sheltered picnic areas, restrooms and a playground.

SCOTT PARK
Located on Old Statenville Road, offers 27.9 acres of lighted baseball fields, lighted tennis and basketball courts, restrooms, concession stand, sheltered and unsheltered picnic areas and a playground.

SOUTH LOWNDES RECREATION COMPLEX
Located on Old Cemetery Road in Lake Park— offers baseball, softball, football and soccer fields. A concession stand is also available.

4-H CAMP RECREATION AREA
Located on Old Clyattville Road— offers nine acres, ball fields and a walking track.

CLYATTVILLE PARK
Located off 4-H Club Road— offers three acres with rental cabins, dining facilities and a boat ramp.

LANGDALE PARK
Located on U.S. 41 North— offers approximately 780 acres of fishing area with boat ramps, planned wilderness trails, picnic areas and restrooms.

BARBER PARK LOVETT FOREST TRIANGLE PARK
Located on Lovett Drive off U.S. 41 South, is approximately half and acre of planned picnic area.

PAYTON PARK
Located off State Route 94, offers approximately 5 acres of picnic area, walking track, fish pond and playground.

GRAND BAY WILDLIFE MANAGEMENT AREA
1,350-acre is part of a 13,000-acre wetlands complex of bays and forested swamp second only to the Okefenokee Swamp. Visitors can launch a boat or canoe at the ramp off Knight Academy Road or travel the 2,000-foot boardwalk to Kinderlou Tower. For information call the Conference Center at 245- 0513.

(30 miles) swimming, fishing, camping, water skiing, motor boating and canoeing.

PUBLIC LAKE/RIVER
Alapaha River (local) has fishing and canoeing.

MADISON COUNTY RECREATION
MADISON BLUE SPRINGS
SR 6, Lee, Fla. A first magnitude spring surrounded by nature. Open June 9 to Sept. 3, Thursday through Sunday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. for swimming and picnicking. Admission is $5 for adults and $4 for children.
